​I'm so grateful that you're considering having me along for the ride once again to guide you and cheer you on along the way. I'm also more excited about the possibility of us working together to level up your business using a more flexible retainer structure.

The goal of this proposal is to make sure our values align and that you’ll be satisfied with the work we’ve done together.

Tara's Challenges

Based on our call together, you'd like to level up your business game by:

• Revamp your website theme to a more streamlined, user-friendly experience (this includes you and your customers)

• Simplify things in your Shopify admin

• Get some back-end things talking to one another and more buttoned-up

• Get support for more of the trickier logisticky things in your business

• Have quick reference "cheat sheets" to make it easier for you to make moves in your business and your website

I like to think of projects with clients are more like an adventure.
On this adventure, we tap into your expertise as a business owner, creative spirit, and empathetic human being. I'll serve as your "helpfun"* guide through all the tech, best practices, and industry stuff, not only setting things up for you, but teaching you how to use the tech in the method you learn best.

My goal for you:
is to feel confident and excited to send people to your website, and to give you the tools and tutorials for you to be able to adjust your content or your strategy down the road.

*Fun Fact:

a client sent me a review after working together, describing me as "helpfun." It was initially a typo, but the client opted to keep it in because they felt it described their experience when working with me.

aka what to expect when working with me

Ecommerce Arcade was founded to not only level-up the experiences of business owners like you, but also to utilize my own decade-long experience as a creative product-based business owner. That's why I tend to work differently than other agencies or freelancers. Here's what you can expect when working together with me:

Collaboration

I'm a huge believer in creating safe and supportive spaces for learning and collaboration.

You're a creative person, too, and I want to make sure we are honoring your creativity in a way that works beautifully with industry standards.

However, if there are things that I don't recommend based on best practices, I'll be sure to not only tell you the what, but also the why.

Support

I love teaching folks that they are capable of harnessing the very tech that may have frustrated them in the past.

When working together, please know there is no such thing as a stupid question, and there is no shame in asking the same question multiple times.

Everyone learns differently, and you'll receive tutorials that cater to your own style of learning (i.e., video, written, captions on video, etc.).

Accountability

AKA getting stuff done! Doing the work! Rolling up our sleeves--you name it.

Many clients I work with are capable of getting their website set up and launched, but they are already carrying a lot in their businesses.

You already know how important a website is for your business, and I'm happy to lighten your load and get this project across the finish line with you.

Tara, Here's How We Roll

While we'll be working together to build and launch your project. We'll be working a little differently than how I conduct projects with clients- instead of milestones and a scope of work as our guide, we'll be using time as our guide. Here's what you need to know about how this will work:

Tools

You'll be invited to your own private Retainer Hub in Taskade, and if I need content or preferences to design or set up anything we're working on, you might see a request from Content Snare- and you'll be provided tutorials walking you through getting set up and how to use each tool. 

Retainer Details

Your retainer is for a three-month timeframe, with an allocation of 5 hours each month. If requested work is close to exceeding the monthly allocated hours, I'll notify you in writing and will only proceed beyond the monthly allocated hours if you approve adding more time in writing. Once the overage occurs, it will be billed at $100/hour, and will be invoiced separately for any additional hours.

If the total hours for the month is under the monthly allocated hours, Holly will roll the extra time into the following month. The extra time will expire at the end of the month in which the extra time was rolled into.

Retainer check-in/renewals/non-renewals

We'll check in close to the end of the three-month retainer to see if we'd still like to continue working together, and adjusting hours/length of retainer based on goals, time, and budget. If you decide to end the retainer relationship at the end of the three-month timeframe, any hours rolled over from the previous month will expire at the end of the retainer relationship.

Turnaround time expectations

While working on any projects or tasks established during the retainer, I'm able to quickly complete the work if I have as much information up front- this can range from preferences, content including copy and photography, and I'll do my best to request what is specifically needed on your end, including any tutorials if needed. 

The majority of projects that end up delayed or paused are waiting on content or information from clients. This is why I request content and preferences are submitted first- once I have all the information I need, I can complete your project so much quicker! 

Here's what we can work on:

🖥 Shopify Website

• We'll kick things off with a Zoom call where we'll chat about these items and can create a priority list

This can include:

• Product taxonomy and data review/cleanup

• Collection cleanup (i.e., Shop All definition, etc.)

• Implementation of metafields (for filtering purposes)

• Streamlining of shipping by using an app that can work for most of your shipping scenarios (starts at $9/month)

NOTE that some of these items may require a new theme or an app like Design Packs (or both)

• Addition of filters to streamline the shopping experience

• Add to Cart button/capability on the Collection page

• Mega Menu for easy, visual navigation

• Product Detail Page (aka product page) templates, customized for specific product types

• Collection Page templates, customized for specific collections

• Possibly theme shopping! You'll get to peruse a handful of themes I select and choose the one that fits your goals and your budget (theme prices range from free to $500 - all are one-time fees) and/or

• Implementation of Design Packs app for more flexibility and control over the look and functionality of many sections of your website

• Possibly a custom badge on the Collection page to indicate if a product has a video course component

• Help hatch a pre-order plan that is as simplified and cost-effective as possible

• Help craft the framework/bones of your pre-orders so you can just duplicate them each time

• Creation of "cheat sheets" or flowcharts for the things you don't do all the time, but do often enough

• Removal or optimization of Faire

• Possible Pinterest strategy referral

• SEO strategy

• Google Search Console + Google Analytics

💌 Klaviyo Email Marketing

• I'll review your Klaviyo back end to make sure your settings are configured (I noticed in Google Analytics there is an opportunity for UTM tracking here)

• Review of Flows to make sure they are performing as expected, and revise as needed

• Klaviyo has introduced a new editor and I'd love for you to be able to use some of the new features

• Design of any new sections as needed

⚡️ Once you complete your Retainer order, you'll be sent a project agreement to review and sign. Upon completion of your agreement, you'll receive an email containing info on getting access to the tools we'll use throughout this project.
